rather than concentrating upon important issues.

The state sanctioned starvation of an innocent disabled person is not an important issue? What is an important issue to you? Every other issue presupposes that innocent life is protected. I don't know how it has happened, but somehow your conscience has been seriously corrupted, and your priorities reflect that. The statement you made reflects the conscience of an amoral person.

No this is an ordinary medical case except for the bitterness of the parents and the resultant political movement feeding off of it. Events like this are occuring everyday and in every state. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, across the world.

Death can be postponed for months and years through enormous cost unaffordable to societies and which would never be undertaken at all but for the taxpayer being bled white to pay. But such sentimental and fanatic attachment to a body is idolatrous to me and indicative of a irrational fear of death resulting from a civilization which devalues the spiritual and elevates the physical at every chance.

Forced feeding is not a long term medical option and is only appropriate when there are viable people recieving it. Temporary states of illness or injury is one thing a destroyed person who "lives" only because of constant intervention and with NO chance of recovery is quite another.

Those of us who have had to allow their loved ones to go realize the selfish nature of dragging their deaths out. This hideous spectacle was unfair to Terri.
