I could accept the 'brain damaged' part, because I think her brain probably was damaged. It was the "persistent vegetative state" that I hated to hear.
I just think it's dehumanizing to constantly attach "brain damaged" to the front of her name, as if that is what defines her as a person. She's a woman with brain damage, emphasis on woman, not brain damage.
