The Army will honor one its most famous fallen volunteers at a ceremony Sunday in Afghanistan.

Officials at Bagram Air Base will dedicate the new Pat Tillman USO Center in memory of the former Arizona Cardinals safety who put his football career on hold to join the Rangers. Tillman was killed in 2004 by friendly fire while fighting through an ambush in eastern Afghanistan on April 22, 2004. He was promoted to the rank of corporal after his death.

“To honor his sacrifice and his dedication to his country, the National Football League donated $250,000 to the USO for construction of a recreational building for troops serving at and moving through Bagram Airfield,” according to an Army announcement.

Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Warrick Dunn of the Atlanta Falcons and Larry Izzo of the New England Patriots are scheduled to attend the ceremony.

Well you've covered a lot of issues and I'll have to get back to you later on them.

But all God's children are here for a reason.
And we are a better place because of Tillman and Schiavo.
Tillman made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and
Schiavo's death has magnified the issue of life and sooner or later all Americans are going to have to realize that we are all a gift from God and no matter how "disabled" someone is that person is PERFECT IN THE EYES OF GOD!

Semper Fi,
Kelly

Wonderful that Pat Tillman will be honored this way - He was truly the type of man that doesn't come around that often. God bless him.
