Actually, I think the definition of husband is still based on the Bible. When a woman marris a man she joins his family...
But anyway, I think the bigger fear is that we will end up with totally new laws, completely unnecessary but rushed and not well thought out, because of what happened... when the easiest, simplest solution is to:
A. Get rid of any laws, such as in Florida, that allows a spouse to simply say :They wouldn't want to live like that" - it shoul dbe a legal document, not just someone's say so... and
B. Get rid of the laws that state that Food and Hydration are "Life Support"...
Those two steps would go a looooong way toward keeping this from occurring again. But, what will happen is that congress will somehow get involved and make a bad situation even worse...

That's because MS looooooooooooooooooved Terri so much, her parents had to stay at a diner across the street for rest.

You and I are on the same wavelength.
Wanna bet he asks the Missus to douse herself in ice water and then lie real still?
The man is far, far beyond creepy.

I don't want a hit list. I have been pretty calm about the whole ordeal, since I did all I could which wasn't much. A few phone calls and emails. The extremes have existed on both sides. From the Bush bashers to the Terri was a potato. I can't side with either group. But the Terri needs to die group has been the most insulting bunch. Many of them were trolls and are gone now but others seemed counter to who I thought they were.

Most serial killers are surprisingly intelligent but their morals just happen to be FUBR, hence the crazy factor.
I actually fear the one's that wear suits and work in government a lot more. Whereas a serial killer kills you once, those and government can kill you over and over again!

No matter what side you come out on in this matter, can we perhaps agree that Felos is mental. I don't think anyone will ever find a single word I've said about Felos that could be even remotely considered complementary :)

Well,
She was just stating the obvious (that he was unattractive). Any guy who gets off on watching someone die is definately not someone you want to be around.

They SHOULD have sent in the NG. It's a governments job to protect it's citizens against being murdered...isn't it?
Who the hell mentioned Death Squad?

I missed the beginning of this...was Felos in the room when Terri died? Every one BUT her family
I want to hear why Bobby got into a scuffle with the police and why MS had him removed

Just watching this guy makes my skin crawl. He as Rush put it ,sounds like a cult leader. All of the talk about the peaceful room, blah, blah, blah, is simply over the top. Just as over-the-top as many posts over this issue. You're a braver soul that I. Something about him gives me the willies. I can't watch him.

I missed that information!

B. Get rid of the laws that state that Food and Hydration are "Life Support"... Amen to that!

Yes. You are absolutely right.
I must start a 54 day novena for Fr. Pavone's protection.

I am 46 years old and have been married for 27 years. I had never discussed this subject with my wife until the last month or so because of all the publicity surrounding the Shiavo case.*************
Same here. My husband and I have been married 21+ years, and never discussed it until a couple of weeks ago. We found that the reason we had never discussed it was that we agreed on our plans to do anything possible to keep the other alive, for as long as possible. Because we love each other.
Life is precious, and as far as we know it only comes to each of us once.
