The culture of death advances
Workd Net Daily ^ | 3/31/2005 | Pat Buchanan

On Good Friday, as Terri Schiavo lay dying of thirst in Woodside Hospice, Gabriel Keys took her a cup of water. Gabriel was arrested, handcuffed and taken away. Apparently, no one taught Gabriel that you do not disobey a judge's order, even to bring water to someone dying of thirst. As he is 10 years old, he is probably not yet conversant with the new morality, where a corporal work of mercy can be a crime. Perhaps his parents filled his mind with such subversive texts as, "Whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones, a cup of cold water" shall not lose eternal life.

Gabriel is pure of mind enough to understand that a judicial prohibition against "artificial hydration" should not be construed by any rational society to include a cup of water raised to a dying woman's lips.

By anyone, but especially by her parents.

It was a little child who first spoke out against absurdity and said "But....the Emperor is not wearing any clothes!"

I don't always agree with Pat, but in this case, he is on the mark.

Whatever happened to that guy espousing "compassionate conservatism"?

Seems to me there is a higher judge and a higher law than some Florida tinhorn nutcase!

#4....I'm saying the same thing...

..I hardly ever agree with Jesse Jackson....Randall Terry....and sometimes disagree with Pat Buchanan....

..but have sided with them on this one, although I still think R.Terry is and was too divisive.

Mel Gibson was on Hannity last night and he was 'spot on' in his words and sentiments!

Just a selfless loyal guardian carrying out Terri's last wishes....that's a matter of judicial record.

I see you're under Keyword attack. The flame-baiters will be along shortly.

Pat is pretty much a stopped clock these days, but this is one of the times he is right.

Shall have eternal life! For those of us who defend Terri Schiavo, these words are all we have to confort us. The laws of our elected officals no longer provide any hope or confort to its people. We are entering the days of sorrow.
Christ gave us a road map, "Dont put your trust in man" he will always fail you, but he who beleaves in me shall have eternal life.

Yes, he is on the mark here. He is right in condemning the advance of the culture of death in the world.

Why then he finds excuses for another culture of death: Palestinians?

So sorry to hear that death is near. I remember with my aunt doctors hear something called a "death rattle"in the lungs- and that's that.

Such a shame.

These are methods most of us would protest if imposed on the Beltway snipers.

I officially volunteer to make those two brain dead so they can be starved and dehydrated to death!!

Sarcasm on? Why are they depriving her of food and water when depriving her of air would be quicker, less painful and more blissful? Is there some logic I am missing? If not, quick find a big pillow!!!!
