If that was true, then as was mentioned in #40, he'd be just as fearful of an autopsy.
2) He is surely looking at selling book and movie rights. Packing up and walking away with just $1 million, certainly isn't as lucrative as the advance on his book "Death is a Wonderful Thing" -- not to mention the made-for-TV-movie "You're In My Way Terri"
There was nothing stopping him from writing a book while Terri was alive, and I'm certain that, given all the notoriety that has already surrounded this case, there has to be a TV mogul out there somewhere willing to offer him a movie deal whether she's alive or dead. He could just as easily have had all that and the $1 million.
Personally, I don't believe he knew - because I had written to the ME's office requesting a copy of the autopsy and I was told none was required. But .. I did not specify that Terri would be cremated - and that action triggers a law which requires an autopsy.
If Michael did know - then he and his lawyers were hiding that info in the hopes that they could keep it secret.
Even if Michael didn't know, his lawyers would have known, and they would have advised him on the best course of action. And having cremation to be done, knowing that an autopsy would be performed beforehand, would not be in his best interest if he had something to hide.
Well .. you go ahead and defend the husband if you want.
But .. this cremation information had been hidden from the public - and when it was exposed that Michael planned to have her cremated - YEARS AGO - SUDDENLY the husband changed his mind and would agree to the autopsy.
I'm not that stupid to believe the lawyers and Michael didn't know - but they just assumed we were too stupid to know. So their deception was on purpose!
Terri Schiavo is worth six to eight million dollars to Michael Schiavo if, and only if, she's dead. If she continues living nothing happens on the book or movie front because there's no ending. When she dies, it is jackpot time for Michael.
Bull. Her death is not required for him to hit the "jackpot". As has been seen many times before, a book or TV movie could just as easily end with, "Terri Schiavo continues to live in a Florida hospice. Her parents visit her often. Her condition remains the same. Michael continues to live with his girlfriend and two children. Etc, etc, etc."
Keeping the public in the dark about the law would not help him. The results of the autopsy would get out anyway, whether the public to be aware of the law or not.
Well .. you keep missing the point so I won't bother to confuse your mind with facts.
The marketing person who buys and sells books for a living, thinks otherwise.
