That is precisely why we employ, at great expense to ourselves, professional politicians to keep an eye on things. There will always be uninformed voters; none of us are in a position to keep track of the nuances of so vast a system.

Employ? did you mean to say elect? Why do we have so many liberal legislators and judges? Answer - misinformed voters. Why are they misinformed? - MSM - NYTimes, Washington Post, Los Angles Times, Boston Globe, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, shall I continue are do you get the point?

No I specifically used the word employ. It is sad that they sometimes forget, but these people are employees of the people. The elections process is just the selection mechanism that we use to choose from among the many candidates.

The main stream media is part of an entertainment system. The people who should be informing us are our elected politicians. If they feel that the media is interfering with free speech; then it is up to them to take appropriate action. The only reason that we are enslaved to the latest poll results, is because our elected officials give them credence by reacting as though they had value and conveyed mandate. That is simply not the case.

First let me say that I totally agree with you.

I've only posted once, maybe twice, to all of the hundreds of Terri Schiavo threads because I didn't want to get into an argument with the people who think Jeb Bush is to blame in this fiasco. They won't change my mind and it's very evident that I won't change theirs. The thing that bothers me the most are the downright nasty replies made by some freepers against those that don't agree with them. The same ones that make the argument that you can't talk to a democrat or liberal because they always resort to "name calling." They're doing the same thing.

I have my own feelings about the Terri Schiavo case, and will do all that I can to see that changes are made so that something like this doesn't happen again. But I in no way blame Jeb or George Bush in this. If you want to blame someone blame Michael Schiavo....because until an autopsy is performed and the results are made known, he looks to be the one that is responsible for Terri's condition in the first place.
