PINELLAS PARK, United States (AFP) - As a brain-damaged woman passed her 12th day without food or drink in a hospice here, Terri Schiavo's parents are planning to again petition the US Supreme Court to intervene, their lawyer said.

Bob and Mary Schindler have been rebuffed by a series of courts in recent weeks and days, their latest setback came Wednesday after the 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals rejected their appeal to reopen the case into whether their daughter's feeding tube should be reinserted.
But the woman's parents appear set to continue waging their legal battle.
"I can confirm for you that we are now preparing to file an appeal with the United States Supreme Court," the Schindler's lawyer, Steve Kluth, said in a statement issued by his office.
However, the Schindlers have already been rebuffed once by the US' highest court in Washington on March 24.
Terri Schaivo's feeding tube was removed March 18, triggering an intense legal battle and a right-to-life political storm that sparked the involvement of the US Congress and US President George W. Bush.
Bush signed legislation backing a federal court review of Terri's case -- she has been in a persistent vegitative state for 15 years -- but the federal courts have so far declined to intervene on her behalf.
"The courts will NOT be the answer to this."
I agree.
There is a solution, but fear and political correctness prevents us from rescuing Terri. Our treasonous politicians know this and continue to divide our Christian brothers and sisters in the name of the tyranny of multicultural and diversity.
They can do this by diluting our numerical/power majority through the importation of foreign cultures and people. Immigration from the 3rd world is the tool our brainwashed brothers and sisters and our enemies are using to change the makeup of our country.
Then they use the same scary tactics of division to reelect them over and over. And, the sheeple, gripped by fear wil continue to reelect them.

So what you are saying is that even though there may be a possibility of a crime being committed, or denial of care, or the desire of parents willing to take care of their child, rather than review all of that and have recent medical examinations take place, you would let her starve to death anyway, because you can electrocute a frog and make it jump? Have you been smoking frog, wart breath? How about due process? This IS a right in this country. Vegetative state, or not.
There's been a camera fixed on her face for 15 years? That is news to me. Where on the web do I get to this TerriCam?
A feeding tube is not extraordinary means! In fact, if they had the proper resources, they could probably feed her orally.
But...everyone...FReepmail or post me with ideas about what to do with the money. I would like to donate it, whatever the amount, to an applicable charity. Let's think on it and let me know. This could be really good.
As a parent on my daughter's birthday, this is all I have to say to you;
Pray that one day a child of yours does not smile at you in exactly the same way and under the same circumstances.
Maybe they should try feeding Terri. I bet she could eat. What is so wrong with trying? Oh, I forgot, you said food and water in her mouth would choke her. We can't have that. If she choked, she might die........oh never mind.
Here is the way I look at it. I have two young daughters. If one got married, and was injured in a strange manner (supposedly by anorexia/potassium poisoning) and conscious but immobilized, I would want time to try and rehab her. However, if seven years later her so-called husband (i.e. Mister"...through sickness and health") claimed my daughter said she didn't want to live like this, although it wasn't written down, I would want the circumstances investigated and a full medical review, one last time. Especially if this guy moved on to another life and family. Why didn't he divorce her? What is to gain by putting her parents through this.
Why not let the parents have the option of a full investigative and medical review? Let them determine the extent of her injuries. And then maybe this issue can be reconciled. What is a couple more months if it has been 15 years?

There seems to be a tinge of mocking believers in your post. This is also about justice, due-process, and the realization that the Florida legislature adjourned for Easter break in the middle of this woman's starvation. Cowards. I guess they felt the polls weren't blowing their way.

Thats the same crap they told us about my mother in law. Thank God we didn't listen to the idiots or she would have starved to death. We fed her and she did just fine.
