"I want to know the person in office will do his sworn duty.

Good, bad, or ugly. Duty is duty"

Freecopper, I actually agree with you for the most part... ANd I do believe that duty is duty and I believe his sworn duty was to uphold the law. And the law sucks!!! And it is "bad" and it is "ugly". BUT, it is the law... And, I frankly do not know Florida law and I hear alot of people on these forums saying that "No, he can do it, he has the power.... The law is on HIS side, he can step in..." You know what freecopper, I don't know if it's on his side or not but I do know he has a sh*tload of attorneys who DO know Florida law.

My opinion, I do think he's a good man... And I do think that if he could do something for Terri within the law, he would... I really do... Now, you may say (an I'd probably back you on it) that he should do "the right thing" and step in anyway... That wouldn't be doing the "bad" or "ugly" part of his duty, though...

Hand,

It's not about 'he should step in,' even if he doesn't have the authority.

That is a flawed premise. One that will get a lot of people killed.

He has the authority to suspend ANYONE who cannot be removed by impeachment.

THAT IS THE LAW.

The DCF had the authority to go into the hospice facility, even AFTER the judge said 'no."

THAT IS THE LAW.

What you appear to be missing is the LAW ITSELF dictated what his actions were to be.

DCF: Terri was/is in iminent danger of death. THEY HAD THE LAW - IT'S CORRECT, ON THE BOOKS, AND LEGAL.

The cops that blocked the FDLE: They were obstructing the carrying out of a lawfully given order. THAT IS MISFEASANCE. That is a LAWFUL ground for SUSPENSSION.

I am not talking about actions outside of the law.

AND YOU BET THEY KNEW THE LAWS.

That is the MOST TROUBLING ASPECT of this situation.

Prior to 1999, PVS did not exist. Jeb signed INTO LAW the change to the medical protocols, ADDING this very medical condition. AND when that was done, the FEEDING TUBE was added as an "heroic means of support," to people who are classified PVS.

Jeb Bush did that.

Now. One question:

"How hard is Jeb Bush going to fight against something he signed into law?"

This entire thing is puzzling, to say the least.

BUT HE HAS THE LAWFUL RIGHT TO INTERVENE.

He's not done that.

I sound like a broken record.

So do others.

It also doesn't mean people will listen.

Sooner or later, people in that state will revert to anarchy - not because Jeb followed the law - because he didn't.

But because cops and FDLE now are on a turf war - because Jeb did not follow the law...

And when law enforcement agencies have a turf war, gangs increase their activity - and more will die that would not have died.

It will be a mess.
