there are 2 people who could do something about this insanity, George Bush and Jeb Bush. They will not do anything. MS,Felos,Greer are not our leaders. Bush is our leader.

And his job is to enforce the laws, not invent new ones, or circumvent ones he doesn't like. Giving people permission to break the law whenever they find it 'immoral' to their beliefs is in effect abolishing the rule of law. If you don't like Florida's law, then change it through the legal means our free society provides.

If the constitution states that we the people have the inalienable right to life and he is the president sworn to protect, defend, and preserve the constitution, and if there is a tripartite form of government....separate but equal....then what judge can order a person be put to death. And what supreme administrator should not stand against that INALIENABLE (cannot be taken away)right to that person living. Inalienable is not to be trivialized.

Please site for me the laws which Mr. Bush would be breaking which would take on more gravity than the inalienable right to life.

Mr. Bush just ceded presidential power to a judicial oligarchy which is completely out of control. This will not stop with the Schiavo case. You may feel fine with the politics of the situation, but Bush more than anyone has lit the fire of euthenasia and selected killing by his inaction. I do not say he doesn't feel badly for Ms.Schiavo, but look at what he has done. Look at the inaction of the Congress.

I tell you this,....remember in the 2007-08 campaign, there will be demanded by conservative right to life voters an absolute demand for someone, anyone, who will stand up for the right to life, on both ends of the spectrum. Someone, like Phillips, Buchanan, or someone else will stand up for life, and siphon of 4 or 5 percentage points from the Republican. The Democrats will be swept into office because of the lack of action of George and Jeb Bush. They do not have the courage of their convictions. They asked us to believe they stood for life, but when push came to shove, they made decisions for the culture of death. The prolife community will not forget this circumstance where their true feeling were stripped naked and revealed their comments on life were not for life, but for political gain.

Prolife conservative would like to vote on economic, foreign policy, immigration matters, but those are second tier concerns when the government of the United States of America is electing to turn a blind eye while a Florida judge orders the execution of an innocent woman. I would like to vote on taxes, but the world I create is the world I will leave to my children,...and right now a darkness sweeps over the land.

Watch and see how "conservative" the senate and the president are when it comes to judicial nominations. They will let Leahey and Kennedy run all over them. The Republicans do not have the courage of their convictions until they prove it to me. They have already proven otherwise. They have thrown out my trust and millions of prolife conservatives and that trust will be hard-won only by actions which are crystal clear as to their intent and actions regarding the inalienable right to live by every innocent person.

I am grieved to say these things about a man who I knew was a president on par with President Reagan, President Teddy Roosevelt, and President Jackson. When I stood in the cold rain trying to get Bush elected....when I wrote a check to his campaign,...when I spoke openly about this good man and his being the right man for the times.....I was sure he measured up,...but he was weighed in the balance and has come up lacking. We gave him this great public trust, and that was fine as long as he did not risk public or political criticism. He will not run again, so it appears there is no allegiance to his own words. Words without deeds ring hollow. I cannot believe it has come to this.
