Here, he did and he didn't. He DID let a low-level judge defy state authorities in an unconstitutional way. he DIDN't exercise his authority to save an innocent woman from a murderous fate.

Dudley Dooright has been ordered by the county judge not to save Nell. Nell has previously expressed revulsion to being tied up on railroad tracks, after having seen it done to someone else. What should he do? Image hosted by Photobucket.com
