If you can't make George Greer, a small-time probate clerk, obey the law -- if a swamp judge makes you tremble -- then how can you be president and stand up to tyrants who have nukes?

Because Greer actually had the law of Florida on his side, and the tyrants don't have the law of the United States on theirs.

And since when did you ever start being butch about tyrants with nukes? I seem to recall your whole take on that was that we needed to come to some sort of accomodation with them.

No. When he told local cops to repel a state agency charged with investigating abuse, and to repel state law enforcement officials, he was stepping outside his judicial role and usurping executive power. That amounted to a coup. Jeb let him get away with it. Pitiful.
