Shoot, during the '68 Democratic National Convention, we pitched pup tents along the runway at Glenview NAS and staged out of there, GL was a palace compared to that....price you pay for being a grunt, but wouldn't trade a single memory.

Unbelievable.
Can't show an armed American soldier as that offends liberal feelings, but sword brandishing school mascots are okay for now.

Same here, would never trade a moment.
You have my respect for all you did.
NAS Glenview is gone now, though I believe they saved the Admin Building/Tower.

I'm trying to find some of the recently posted articles about the attempted publishing of CCW holders in OH. There may have been another state where this was being tried too.Keep concealed-carry list secret, but we can only link Gannett sources, IIRC. I'll try to post it. I tried "concealed carry Ohio" on FR's search, but I can't find the story where they published names. I believed the other state where his is an issue is Colorado.

Maybe I just don't get it, but what is a Marine supposed to be holding? The last Marines I saw were carrying Burger King bags.

The City of Salem welcomes your input! In most states the school district is completely independent of the City they are in. Often the geographic boundaries don't even coincide.

hey should also ban the "Massachusetts Quarters" that show an armed Minuteman on the reverse Indeed, the Minutemen were anti-government right wing wackos. They were definitely anti-government, shooting the King's officers and all that and espousing their beliefs today will get you labeled a wacko.

They certainly have a picture of the mushroom cloud over Hiroshima. Perhaps they shouldn't allow that text book. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a picture of Little Boy or Fat Man or maybe the Enola Gaye.
