Oh, I do too. A simple reading of the FL State Constitution clearly says that all public employees - including the county sheriffs - ultimately answer to the governor.
My take is that by planning to use armed resistance to the DCF, they are in rebellion against the state of Florida. At that point the governor should have declared them so and sent in a team capable of restraining them physically.
But, he didn't, and they are still there, essentially running their own little armed camp outside the state and federal laws, apparently beholden only to one judge.
J. Greer got a heads up that FDLE was on the way, he did a restraining order that the Sheriff's Dept. would oppose FDLE if they tried to remove Terri's body (Greer does not think of Terri as a person). Jeb's FDLE was halfway there and they turned around. Shoot order, fuzzy on that.
Sheriff only shows up if Jeb's FDLE is on the way to hold them off.
HOWEVER, Pinellas Park PD would NOT imo, stop FDLE, et al coming on behalf of Governor Bush.
+The biggest frustration for me through all of this fiasco has been the TOTAL FAILURE of Governor Bush. I mean he's failed Terri and the citizens of Florida in every way. He was one that I didn't expect such shoddy behaviour from. Yet he could not have done any worse had he tried. My visceral disgust at his weakness and callousness in allowing an innocent woman to be executed with less protection than a CRIMINAL is not excusable.
