Florida lawmaker says he will consider impeaching Schiavo Judge Greer
This is such a wishy-washy statement and, a follow-up I heard on Rush's show don't give me any hope that Greer will face any disciplinary measures for using the court as a means to tweak the nose of the legislative branch.
No wonder we have judicial tyranny - legislators are scared to death of judges!!!
It's a good thing they don't have feeding tubes; they could be the next victim's of judicide!!

It would be a waste of time and taxpayers' money since Greer has technically done nothing illegal and would most assuredly survive any serious impeachment inquery on that basis.
Yeah, ignoring a Congressional directive AND a Congressional subpoena are perfectly ok. Technically, he hasn't done ANYTHING wrong!!
(End disgusted sarcasm)

If Greer simply issues a court order to bar him from doing so, won't that end the matter by the precedents we've already seen in this case?
Whew!! Excellent point!!

Florida judges ARE subject to a periodic "merit retention" vote.

He also broke the guardian ad litum laws.
He also broke the law in preventing DCF from following their legal obligation to investigate allegations of abuse.

I want to know about the legality of Greer ordering all those cops to surround the hospice, and - supposedly - a shoot order, if state officials showed up to rescue Terri. I'd like to know whether such an order really was ever given, and about it's legality if it was. Oh, I do too. A simple reading of the FL State Constitution clearly says that all public employees - including the county sheriffs - ultimately answer to the governor.
My take is that by planning to use armed resistance to the DCF, they are in rebellion against the state of Florida. At that point the governor should have declared them so and sent in a team capable of restraining them physically.
But, he didn't, and they are still there, essentially running their own little armed camp outside the state and federal laws, apparently beholden only to one judge.

Consider?
That's Florida!
I'm waiting for the real estate bubble to burst down in Key West. Wait till all the AIDs and Alzheimers patients figure it out - they're next! Florida won't pay to take care of them.

In addition, in the last Petition filed by the Schindlers to beg that the feeding tube be re-inserted concluded the following: Attorney Gibbs emphasized public repugnance for any death by starvation and dehydration which is against the US and Florida Constitution.
That Petition is available on line somewhere.

When the Pinellas Park Police Dept. are arresting children, the surrounding area is in lockdown. The PPPD told more than one person, including an nbc local reporter, "I don't care if the President of the United State wants to get through, nobody gets through." (that included people held by the police tape who had relatives on their deathbed in Hospice. THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW PEOPLE WITH FAMILY EMERGENCIES IN HOSPICE GO AROUND THE YELLOW TAPE.
J. Greer got a heads up that FDLE was on the way, he did a restraining order that the Sheriff's Dept. would oppose FDLE if they tried to remove Terri's body (Greer does not think of Terri as a person). Jeb's FDLE was halfway there and they turned around. Shoot order, fuzzy on that.
Sheriff only shows up if Jeb's FDLE is on the way to hold them off.
HOWEVER, Pinellas Park PD would NOT imo, stop FDLE, et al coming on behalf of Governor Bush.

he would still survive it since his rulings have in fact stood through the Appeals and Supreme Court levels. The power of impeachment lies solely with the Legislative branch. It does not follow that just because his appeals were upheld he can not be impeached. He might survive, but then again maybe not.
