I posted the day after Palm SUnday that this Schiavo vote was going to cost the Senate their ability to go nuclear. I said and still believe Congress overreach on the Schiavo bill indicates to the bulk of Americans that the religious right is controlled by a bunch of kooks and that most Americans are now likely to believe that the nominees appointed by Bush are extremist. I dont believe they are but it will be hard to be credible on the issue after flaking out for more than a week on Schiavo. Thanks guys. There goes your numero uno issue down the tubes. 51 of them can still vote for Bush's judges.
If they choose not to, it's a choice of their own free will.
