Why don't we let those in WFFPP group over there in the Smokey Backroom starve and thirst her to death? They should get their little group together and take turns watching over her as she thrist to death.

Did you even read the story? This woman just "has no other place to go." She does not require machines or feeding tubes. She was not allowed to return to her Nursing home because she was suing them. She was upset because they took her TV away. Meanwhile, she was occupying a bed that an actual patient could have been using. She has a daughter, AND A HOUSE to go to, yet she refuses. Why should she be allowed to "squat" at a hospital?

Then you think that Kaiser or the state should pay for her to occupy an expensive hospital bed indefinitely? It's not clear who's paying from the article ...to apply for Medi-Cal benefits on her behalf and to fix up her damaged San Anselmo home, if possible ..." but do you think she has a right to the resources of her fellow citizens just because she's old and infirm?
