Someone with a high profile should conduct a moot court. This way the truth can come out and maybe, just maybe we can keep this from happening again.
A close friend whose father is in a care facility with Alzheimer's is now actually being pressured by the staff to do the same to his father. How many people across this country and world, for that matter, have already been pushed over the edge by "care givers" who have preyed on weak families?
Terri's only crime is that in Michael's eyes she's no fun anymore and he signed on only for the fun part.

Terri Ping for Life, Help, Justice, and Mercy - EVEN Today!

Americans, and American Leaders need to Speak up and help Terri and the Schindler Family!

Including Democrats, Union Leaders and Members, and...

Heavenly Father - We humbly implore You to protect our little Sister, Theresa Marie Schiavo, from internal damage to her organs. We pray for a life-saving miracle on her behalf. Like the ones who cut a hole in the roof and dropped their crippled friend down to Your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, we are bringing Terri before You and asking for Your Healing Touch. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

- by Saundra Duffy ("Where there's life, there's hope." Theresa Marie Schiavo)

Does anyone believe that it is mere coincidence that Pope John Paul II and Rev. Jerry Falwell are both currently hooked up to feeding tubes??
Just wondering.

What is your take on that similarity. Just curious.

First, I generally don't believe in "coincidence".
Second - and I don't dare speak for God - but I think He might just be saying to the Forces of Darkness, "Go ahead - pull those tubes. I dare you."

While I'm at it, I would caution the pro-death crowd that they may want to think twice before applying the "Terri Standard" universally.
For example, let's look at Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV): Diminished mental capacity, unable to communicate coherently, his condition will never improve....
Shall we pull HIS tube?

It's a shame isn't it...I think we are all appalled. There probably is a significance here. I think we should all settle in and see what it is. God judges a nation by it's leaders.

It's beyond shame.
Is this not the first time that an American judge has effectively passed a death sentence upon a citizen who has committed no crime, who is not terminally ill, and is unable to express her own wishes??

The US Supreme Court even ruled that it is unlawful to execute criminals who are mentally incompetent - but it's OK for the innocent?

How long has it been since I told you you're a great person?? Too long!

I couldn't agree more with your sentiments, doc!

You said it so much better, so just let me agree and say I'm earnestly praying for a miracle as well. This entire situation is heartbreaking and ghoulish to the extreme.

Awww, you're just so dang sweet to agree with me... OR, maybe for once I just happen to be right? :-]

And another thing -- (there's always another thing, isn't there?) -- If the U.S. House of Representatives is to have ANY relevance in the future, they will haul a couple of judges in and question them to find out just what their malfunction is... and offer some rational, plausible excuse as to why they should not be impeached at once.
Judge Greer ignored the Congressional subpoena of Terri Schiavo and Judge Whittemore (fed. judge) ignored Congress' explicit direction to review her case de novo.

I have really had it with the Men in Black (elsewhere known as tyrants).

It pains me to say what I am about to say, but it appears that all is lost for Terri.

Those whom we counted on to come to Terri's rescue, didn't. Not the state legislature, not the governor, not the President, not the Congress, not the FLNG, the FDLE, the FHP, the US Marshalls . . . NO ONE.

They sat on their hands. We knew we couldn't count on the judicial branch, but with Republican majorities in every major office possible, we believed that they would take action to save her life.

Instead, they sat on their hands. They sat on their hands for vote after vote. They sat on their hands when it came time to speak what they truly believe; what they campaigned on. The state legislature took a vote last Wednesday to adjourn for Easter. No one sat on their hands for that vote. But, when it came time to save the life of an innocent, disabled woman whose only crime was that she required a feeding tube since her husband refused to get her the rehab she needed to be able to feed herself, they sat on their hands.

Beginning next year, they will solicit us for money and votes for their re-election campaigns. I suggest you give them the same that they gave to Terri - sit on your hands. DON'T re-elect any of them.

Yes, I know what I am saying - we could lose the state house and hand it back to the Dems. Given that Republicans are the ones who could have saved Terri and refused, can we truly say that there is a difference?

Our system of government is terribly broken and I'm not sure that it is repairable.

My heart is heavy for Terri, the Schindler's and for America. I pray that God will grant the Schindler's peace.

America has become a country that, today, scares me.

And that is very, very sad.
