Look beyond Judge Greer.   He's just an egotistical liberal RINO.   The main culprit in the Schiavo case is the term "judicial independence" which is no where to be found in the Constitution.   At the time, the framers of the Constitution made a hard sell (fedralist papers, Publius) to the American people, that unlike in England, we, the small person would be forever protected from tyranny.   Moreover, the judiciary would be the lesser evil of the three branches.   At the same time, John Yates wrote about the pratfalls of the controls over the judiciary within the Constitution that would eventually lead to judicial tyranny.   He was right.   The courts exert control over the congress and executive branch.   Who controls the courts?   The democrats like judicial activism, because when they can't win elections, or congressional bills, they shop for and win with one of their liberal judges.   The American Bar Association (lawyers) are large contributors to the Democratic Party. Most, if not all judges, are lawyers!!!
