cerebral cortex is principally liquid, having shrunkenI've seen the source, and cringed at the odd choice of words. How is something liquid if it shrinks? CSF filled in the area of cortex that atrophied. Bad choice of terms.

How is something liquid if it shrinks? The brain matter wasn't liquifed before, it is now. Seems simple enough to me, but my undergrad is in chemistry, not biology.
