In a related press conference, officials at Baptist Bible College announced that they had cautioned faculty against performing any act that might be interpreted as "picking up Christ's cross," "following Christ's example," or the like.

"Emulation of Christ was part of a prior era. The modern interpretation of Christianity calls for adherents to make frequent tax-free cash donations, to will property to the church on their death, but otherwise to adopt very impassive, conscience-free demeanor. Supporting persons such as Terri is not condoned."

On the front of my church bulletin is printed along with current information and graphics, "Remember us in your will."

Maybe that is ok. Maybe it is not ok. I don't know. They do need money to cover operating expenses. I do not begrudge them that.
