If it goes to trial I like to be on the jury.
Cept' Terri wasn't Christian. She was a "non-practicing" Catholic (or so the news outlets would have us believe). One might as well be Jewish, Muslim, or Jehovah's Witness and have that verse apply. By making everyone special, no one is special.
Burglary? For stealing water? For stealing the limelight?
Is it just me, or is the whole Florida judicial/police complex made up of morons?
only 47 arrested so far... that seems kind of sad.
I would have thought there would be more. Well, at least there are 47 people who are going to be able to look themselves in the mirror when they wake up the morning after Terri dies. Thank you Professor.
OK, Jude, you're the law student here. Tell me exactly how attempting to bring two bottles of water to a thirsty dying woman is "attempted burglary"?
Use the IRAC method.
Thanks,
Marlowe
I must admit that I am thoroughly and completely bamboozled
regarding Judge Greer's authority.
It appears that Greer is Probate Judge... which is to say, he has
authority to oversee the distribution of my late Gramma's china
and silverware, etc.
However... from where and how does he have the power and
uthority to prevent a poor dying woman from taking a sip of
water ???????????
God bless him.
A Taser Gun??? Some bum died in Chicago because the police used a taser gun on him. The leftist media went absolutely nuts with the story... "Police Taser Kills Man" was the headline in the newspapers.
The guy who died from the taser gun in Chicago was a worthless bum, yet the media attacked the cops. There is a new crusade against taser gun in the media. Yet this man who wanted to give Terri Shiavo water gets shocked and the media mentions it in passing.
If nothing else it shows what disgusting vermin the media and the individuals who were "chosen" to protect the hospital from protestors.
The liberal press selectively chooses its stories and this is once again another example of ridiculous bias. And the police "protecting" the hospital should be ashamed of themselves. Tasering an unarmed man is really BIG of these officers..
Oh wait!
He was armed............
with a glass of water. < /sarcasm>
After all this, when do we get around to pardoning the Nazis?
Calling them "police" is wrong. They are exactly the same as Death Camp Guards.
If he were a thug in Los Angeles fighting cops, he might be awarded a nice sum of money.
Attempted burglary???
Trespassing I can see, but burglary??
I would be ashamed to be a police officer in that god forsaken town.
Pursley, who is on the faculty of the Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pa., had two bottles of water with him, police said. He was charged with attempted burglary and resisting arrest.
"He is a dedicated man with strong beliefs and God-given convictions," the statement said.
