One of the saddest things in all this is what this has done to the face of the compassionate conservative and the pro life movement.
The pro life movement was making such great strides. New technology was turning people against abortion. Women who have accepted it for years are becoming grandmothers and changing their minds about abortion.
Now the face that has been presented by the protestors is anything but compassionate. Yelling into bullhorns all hours while people who have raised children, worked hard all their lives, and are now dying, can't even get a good night's sleep.
It's going to set the movement back 20 years. And the president can forget getting his judges confirmed.
I disagree about the judges,if anything that should light a fire under every republican to make sure the nominations go through unimpeded.
The pro-lifers will be deemed Randall's theocratic lunatics. With him as our friend, who needs an enemy?
Sounds like the wise advice "from a friend" available from the New York Times, LA Times, Washington Post, and Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
"Yelling into bullhorns all hours while people who have raised children, worked hard all their lives, and are now dying, can't even get a good night's sleep."
Are you old enough to remember when America couldn't get any sleep....due to the gunfire killing the Medger Evers, and white social workers and other "harassers" of the Klan and white racists groups?? And those bullhorns and marches!! They had absolutely no respect for those of us "trying to sleep".....while Rosa Parks was ordered to the back of the bus and young black men hung from the nearest tree....for supposedly flirting with a "white girl". Shame on them for disturbing our sleep!!!!!
In the Felos Hospice no one gets a good night's sleep? Where morphine shots are given on a regular basis?
C'mon now...you can think of a bigger and better lie than that.
