We are recovering some of the 19th-century understanding in poverty fighting;

What is this "19th-century understanding in poverty fighting"? The one found in Charles Dickens and Jack London's novels or in the writtings of the socialists or in Malthus or in social darwinism or in Bismarck social programms?

I do not argue that you should "disbelieve" the President, although I don't put much stock in what Vicente Fox has to say.

I don't believe the President very much, could care less what Fox has to say, but I wouldn't believe Victor Hanson if he told me the sky was blue. That a faux conservative has discovered some semblance of actual conservative thought in between is hawkish rants isn't much news.

Whatever it may be, you can find a short and cohesive synthesis in a Victor D Hanson editorial released today on Jewish World Review.

At least judging by his above-cited editorial, Hanson has a good grip on the moral questions, as well as the political ones.

Read in conjunction with Diane Alden's lenghty piece in today's Newsmax, it's fair to say that the Conservatives are finally turning against the Fortune 100/NeoCon alliance...

I'm a GWB supporter ~ he's just not protecting our borders and coastlines from all foreign invaders ~ it's that simple!

This is the exact reason I refused to support GWB in 2004, and will never support another open borders politician again. He has left America wide open. He has failed to uphold his oath of office.

What would the lying traitor JF'nK have done, that would have been better!

Voting for some .05% third party candidate, won't get it either.

It's about holding our leaders accountable and empowering them to do what's right.

Whining about it, will not get the job done.

Many of us feel that we've been waiting for 4-1/2 years for our "leaders" to be accountable, and they have failed. I won't vote for what I don't respect. I'll vote principle over party from now on, and let the chips fall where they may...

There should be no more public tolerance for the racism of an organization like MECHA or La Raza

I agree with that. What an outcry there would be if we started organizations like that.

President Fox declared yesterday that he will personally lead the new agency he named "Consejo Nacional para las Comunidades Mexicanas en el Exterior" (National Council for Mexican Communities Abroad). The "Council" will consist of the president, most of the cabinet secretaries and a, as of yet unnamed, representative from Aztlan. This is a bold move that essentially extends the arm of the Mexican government into the territories it previously lost during the Mexican-American War of 1848."

Look up the definition of treason. Are we at war if some of our unwanted guest are planning to take over the south west part of our nation? Could anybody be charged with an act of treason?

Also, Article Three of the United States Constitution defines treason as only levying war against The United States or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort and requires the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act or a confession in open court for conviction.

I was wondering about the meaning of giving aid and comfort to their enemies.

Excellent assessment. I wish that those who are in a position to do anything pay attention to him.

But they probably aren't.
