We could learn a lot from the Japanese as to crimes in society. IIRC, about 97% of all crimes are successfully solved in Japan...those guilty expect, and often WANT, to get caught and convicted.
First I could not butcher two people, but if I did, I'd confess and take my punishment. I could not live with myself anyway. I was raised that way.
