Answer: Jeb Bush sold out for political expediency.
Judge Greer has more power than either of the Bush boys.
Before you make your snide remarks like "these people should be in jail if they are asking Gov. Bush to risk his job" know that some, like Chris Slattery, have lost their jobs over their public advocacy.
Others became priests, a big sacrifice in and of itself.
Joe Scheidler has been sued so many times it's not funny...
These people have sacrificed... so save the snide comments..
A man of power, prestige and visibility, suddenly pained by a difficult and risky decision that would or could be immensely politically damaging, but nevertheless going with that inner compass, taking 'the road less traveled', and accordingly, being afforded greatness as a true hero once the dust cleared.
Sorry, Florida Governor Jeb Bush was not made of those qualities when he had his moment in history.
I do hope he can sleep at night and live with his decision. Heaven help him. I wish him the best
Two of the real heroes in all this were the two nurses, who went against their employers' 'rules' to help Terri. They were fired. They were willing to lose their jobs to go against orders and do what was right. God bless them.
Isn't the red stuff
a tame euphemism for
"become dictator?"
If a man becomes
a dictator for reasons
that you like, does that
make it all okay?!
Should Senator Clinton treat
law with the same view?!
We have a bunch of constitutional ignoramuses in this website any more...
Would you support a BLOODY gunbattle between the Florida state LEOs and the county LEOs trying to grab Schiavo. That's what would have occured if you had your wish!
Bless you for seeing the danger in demanding that the Governor take the law into his own hands.
Guess ol' Jebbah ain't a gonna do anything and hope no one notices...
Two lone nurses bucked evil and spat right in it's face, going on to lose 100% of their salaries.
If Jeb Bush did it too, it's possible he would also lose 100% of his salary.
So what's the difference?
Two nurses had more courage to stand up for right and take the hard knocks, than the very Governor of a State elected on a Pro-Life stance.
Nice rhetoric. Not factual. What is being done to Terri is done all the time. It is not at all a rare process.
The only reason this has reached public awareness is that part of her family was opposed. Had the family been in agreement, exactly the same thing would have been done eight years ago and nobody would ever have heard of her.
That something is not rare or new doesn't make it right. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Seems Judge Greer has run the Bush Brothers out of town on a rail.
.
Hear, hear!
Amazing how many are willing to throw due process overboard as soon as it doesn't come up with the result they desire.
Some of you talk like there would be no consequence to Jeb Bush had he gone against the court order.
Talk about no understanding the law.
I don't know how Governor Bush does it.
Excellent point.
Thank you for the post. Im so glad to see all these pro-life leaders standing up for truth. They are exactly right.
the Bush political dynasty is now toast.
George can't run again, and Jeb's career is officialy finished after this. Pro-lifers and Evangelicals will make it their life's work to ensure that he does not make it to stage one of a GOP nominating process for Dog Catcher. Guess he could always become a Democrat though.....
Doing your constitutional duty is NOT against the law.
