What is happening to Terri Schiavo is "immoral and it's unnecessary," the Rev. Jesse Jackson said on Tuesday, aligning himself with religious conservatives and pro-life activists who have gathered outside the brain-damaged woman's hospice in Pinellas Park, Fla.
"She is being starved to death. She is being dehydrated to death. And this is inhumane," Jackson said at a press conference after visiting Terri and praying with her family.

'Ol Jessie sure knows where the cameras are and how to get ink. Like the Rev. Al Sharpton, these Snake Oil Salesmen love a little ink...morals my foot!

I don't care where the help comes from, anybody who wants to help Terri Schiavo is OK with me. At least Jesse is willing to open his eyes and see the evil that is being done to her and has the courage to stand up to the Liberal Death on Demand machine.

We must also keep in mind that Jesse doesn't support the death penalty for those that commit the most heinous crimes against our society.

Although if he is able to help, he might improve his image with conservatives.

The reverend has forseen the damage coming to the liberals on this, and doesn't want his suit spattered.

Now that some Shindler/Shaivo supporters are turning their anger toward W and Jeb for not doing enough, I think you will see more democrats seize the opportunity to add fuel to that fire.

The reverend has forseen the damage coming to the liberals on this, and doesn't want his suit spattered. I fully agree. I don't care what the freakin polls say, I don't know anyone who isn't outraged.
My Zell Miller dem SIL said that this issue crosses party lines, and I agree.

If Jackson wanted ink, he'd be at the Michael Jackson trial demonstrating. Did you read the article.
"said he's contacted the Florida Senate, urging members to come up with emergency legislation to stop Terri's starvation. He said he's also called the governor's office, but has not yet heard back.
And he said he called Michael Schiavo, Terri's husband and legal guardian, asking to pray with him - but Schiavo refused."
When I heard him on Scarborough last night, I knew what he was going to try to do. He was going to ask MS the same question the world is asking, why, if the parents are willing to care for her, why don't you just step aside.
But, as we see, MS was no where to be found.

Where was Jessy when his voice would maybe have stopped this killing before it started. He's weighing in now knowing that its all over but the crying.

"The reverend has foreseen the damage coming to the liberals on this, and doesn't want his suit spattered."
Or perhaps Jesse Jackson has the heart to see what libertarian GOPers cannot.

Well, I'm certainly no Jackson fan (Jesse or Michael), but don't be so quick to assume he's done this for cynical reasons. If he was calculating politically, he wouldn't be caught dead echoing the voices of the "fringe, extremist, Republican, pro-life nuts" the news media has had such a good time ridiculing. Maybe he's just another human being on this issue.

I quite agree. With Barney Frank wagging his finger at Republicans this week telling then that the American people are upset with their involvement in this case...It is proof positive that this issue transcends politics and goes right to the heart of moralty...about which Mr Frank and company have a profound lack of understanding.
So I say...bring on more Democrats...let's all show our disgust for this injustice!

We must also keep in mind that Jesse doesn't support the death penalty for those that commit the most heinous crimes against our society. We must also keep in mind that Terri didn't commit any crime...except to marry that scumbag!

I've never been a Jackson fan, but... I can tolerate him speaking out on Terri's behalf. The media and press will give Jackson lots of attention. It will shed more light on the situation, thus in turn having a negative impact on Greer, Felo's and Michael Schiavo. Anything that will give them negative press, or make a miserable day for them, is ok by me.

One of the most dangerous positions on Earth is to be between Jesse Jackson and a camera.......
To: yoe
How ironic.
After his comments defending Michael Jackson last night on Nancy Grace, to put the word "morals" in the same sentence as his name is the ultimate irony.
