"It's always a nice idea to think about their privacy first."

Agreed...one of the things about the Schiavo case that bothered me was that we couldn't see pictures of how Terri looks today. Heck, I wouldda liked to see her parents actually ask her--on camera--if she wanted to live, to see if there would be any non-verbal response in the affirmative...but that would be selfish and a violation of Terri's right to privacy. Too bad we're in the process of violating her Right to Life.

Well said, Mud, and although some would argue there is NO right to privacy or NO right to life written down anywhere (except maybe in the Declaration), one can at the very least error on the side of being respectful of both privacy and life.

A caller on the Limbaugh show made a great point today. He mentioned how so many people will say that Terri's tube was pulled so she could die with dignity, but the real result has been that George Felos goes on TV in front of the whole planet to talk about her urine output. Very dignified.
