What differentiates Judeo-Christian values from secularism as espoused by contemporary liberalism, is its emphasis on life and a preoccupation with improving people's lives in THIS world. Death is not the end of existence but its not the same as revering life and creating a terrestrial paradise. Jews and Christians hold man was driven from the Garden Of Eden not so much as punishment but because God wanted and needed people to give as well as receive. To help Him make the world the kind of statement of grace it can and will become one day. The Egyptians like our modern pagans were steeped in death and a belief in the afterlife. Judaism and Christianity held life was precious and God created the things of this world for man to enjoy. The Jews took the further step of separating their priests from the dead and changing what people ate (in the form of kosher rules) so people would always think of life instead of death. All these achievements are now at risk and we need to understand their importance in the life of the West now more than ever. Choose Life and Not Death is the great legacy of Judeo-Christian values. May it endure for the generations to follow.

Its bible was the Book of the Dead...

A low blow, and one unworthy of the author. That is the title by which we call the book. It's not the title the Egyptians gave it.
