That’s what I thought, in jest. Would a tsunami hit the blue or red states the worst? East Coast; West Coast; Gulf Coast? One thing, there is a lot of liberal population along the East Coast and the West Coast. The conservative Gulf Coast has more population aware from the shore, and a tsunami might affect the liberal sections of those states (Florida, for example, would become more conservative).
Just a silly thought.

Yeah, back in around 69' or 70' one of the hurricanes came up through western PA. On Lake Erie in Cleveland, I saw huge waves (after a couple days of 60+ winds) pick up a 3 foot diameter tree trunk and throw it through the second story wall of a house on the bank. And then the next wave would pull it out and repeat the process. I would say the trunk got lifted about 30+ feet above normal water level (which had been raised by the surge). Wasn't much of the house left after a few hours of that.
That storm ground up millions of dollars of boats along the shore. The lake surge brought the water level up to the top of the breakwalls, so the waves just came right in and hauled the boats out and then tossed them back in; over and over. All that was left on the beach were sails, motors, and little foot square pieces of fiberglass all over the place.
Of course this is nothing compared to what happens down south when the winds are 150 and houses just blow away.
Do not neglect the mention of Hanan Ashrawi!
