I don't want to be a hotlinker, but no matter which side of this you're on, you'll have to admit that this is the funniest take on this case yet - and it's aimed squarely at us.

Ditto. Conservatism is a matter of core belief.
And it isn't always pretty when they clash. Recall how founding of the country was a monumental and fractious contest. To give you an idea of how high "emotion" ran, note this missive from one of the Founders directed at the Tories and fence-sitters:
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

It shows we give a dang about something besides pure political power, which is refreshing in itself.

Yeah, those crazy FReepers really take all that free speech stuff to heart. They even exercise it with passion.
Better to just remain calm and aloof, and wait for free health care.
Hit'em hard brother UA!!!

emotion gets in the way of reason...
Conservatives use reason to apply their core beliefs on an issue...
when emotion gets in the way of reason irrationality happens....
when irrationality happens, people call for Marines to storm a hospice.

it is definitely a mirror, but at least it shows conservatives give a dang about someone's life, True, this reminds me of the scene in the movie 'It's a Beautiful Life', where the German women is talking oh so calm and well spoken about how much money the state would save by 'elimination' the useless feeders. Very rational, very cool, no emotion, just hard facts.

Republicans care. The dems and morally bankrupt don't.
Well said. At least the Republicans still have blood running through their veins and are wrestling with a difficult issue. The Democrats have been all too quite.

Are you sure you're not being a bit too emotional about people being emotional?

Just heard on TV, Felos is saying that Michael Shiavo is insisting on an Autopsy for Terri... If that's true, I would not trust anyone in that little rats nest of corruption. If he is agreeing, then he knows the fix is in. Now if an autopsy is performed by a truly independent entity, (DCF for example), then I would put some faith in it.

Autopsy to be performed by the Pinellas county ME. Anyone know anything about him?
To: AmericaUnited
And if it was done by DCF, and they came out with a result you didn't agree with, then what? ;0)
