If God were as petulant as many on FR suggest, the entire United States would look like rural Nevada by now. ;)

The fact that humanity is not extinct, attests to the fact that God is not only very patient and forgiving, he also has a sense of humor. History has also shown to those who are paying attention, that God's patience, does have it's limits.
We need to understand that and mend our ways, before we find ourselves in the position of a roach looking up to see a foot, just before being squashed.
