No tsunamis expected they think - now reported from guy on the ground in both Indonesia - no explanation why, but monitoring aftershocks - not completely out of the dark yet.
This is not as bad as last time -
expected all Thai - Sri Lanka - India - Malaysia in the clear - localized Indonesia damage and waves so far -

The problem is the media keeps talking to people in Indonesia who have talked to people in Banda Aceh....that's too far North.....

I can't find any maps showing the 1833 and 1866 ruptures that aren't part of a PDF....
But the basic problem is that if there was a tsunami it was south of Banda Aceh and North of Padang...

Thai news is reporting tsunami type waves hitting Indonesia. They are focusing on preparations along the Thai coast so news about Indonesia is sketchy here.
