Injury Report Prompted Schiavo Cremation Plans

Michael Schiavo decided to have his wife's body cremated after her parents' lawyers obtained medical records showing she had sustained broken bones, a nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo is now claiming.

"He wanted her cremated after the bone fractures and dislocations were found," nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who cared for Terri in the mid-1990s while she was at the Palm Gardens Convalescent Center, told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity on Friday.

"He immediately went to court and [said he] wanted her body cremated at that time," she said, "after we got hold of the records that proved there were dislocations and fractures."

A 1991 report on a bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo states:

"There are an extensive number of focal abnormal areas ... These include: multiple bilateral ribs ... both sacroiliac joints ... both knees and both ankles."

Radiographs reveal "compression fractures" of the spine and right femur. ... "Compression fracture presumably traumatic," the report says.

Nurse Iyer said she recently contacted Palm Gardens to encourage co-workers who also cared for Terri to speak out - but said they have been muzzled.

"The administrator had gotten them together and they talked about what happened with Michael," Iyer told Hannity. "The people who have worked with Terri who are still there, they cannot talk to reporters - they would be terminated."

I don't think it's that, but I see where you're coming from. This is just a criminal conspiracy that is ending up killing an innocent girl. Read up on the massive connections with the hospice industry/politicians/Felos/Greer/M.Schiavo down there. Then you'll see.

Her very firing makes it believable. Her filing a police report makes it irrefutable.

RIGHT, but I think it should be .... "nearly irrefutable". ;-)

She was accepted to siphon the money to Felos and Greer and their families.

You said it much better than me.

I am so very sorry about your child. I could not even begin to imagine the pain. I am glad that you are blessed with a daughter to love.

Our children are our blessings, what we work for, live a great deal of our lives for. We hope that they will one day have a wonderful spouse and we will have grandchildren and feel like we did a job well done.

That was Terri's biggest fault. Marrying a CREEP and unfortunately it has cost her more than she ever imagined. It is so sad. Creep would definitely be gone if it were my child.

I am repulsed by this statement.

Me too. But, etiquette says he had to include that.

Imagine your heart going out to Michael Schiavo, after hearing about how he has treated Terri, up to and including the denial of religious rites.I can't.

Why was it necessary for the Governor to give MS a verbal hug?

As I said, political and just general etiquette.

Some old timers here frown on ANYONE who questions Jeb. That to me is short sighted. Jeb, and all government officials in this matter, failed miserably! It's a very sick, deplorable, dispiriting chapter in this country's history. It will not go away quickly. The Republicans (G.W. and Jeb included) have not explained the entire mistreatment, history, and actual condition of Terri to the public. They screwed up. It is their fault, to some extent, that (ignorant and disinformed) public opinion is apparently against them to a degree. ----- and this ---Memogate Part Two (The Dubious “GOP Talking Points” Memo) ---- http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1371673/posts ----- Democrats played a dirty trick on the Republicans in a matter of life and death.

I agree that the judge got the facts wrong here.

IMO "clear and convincing", while a higher standard than preponderance of the evidence, is not as high as beyond a reasonable doubt.

The only way for a smooth out for both Bushes would have been to get her out of there and get her the therapy that she needed.

Most likely. There is a bad smell now, unfortunately.

Now there will be a backlash because they did not do enough. And others will say they overstepped.

Yes, the Bushes will be getting bad vibes from all sides. Now, if they try to explain the real truth of the matter, they'll just look even worse. Bad situation.

They blew it by not following through with this. When a judge does not allow a state agency to investigate and do what it is legally required to do he is breaking the law. Even though he has diplomatic immunity he still is breaking the law and they should have followed through.

I agree. It's regrettable now and will be in the future.

After they got her out they should have done a full scale investigation of this case and Greer. This would have saved them and Terri also.

I think what you're trying to say is that if they would have been successful rescuing her from this "entrapment" and slow murder, there could have been a full exposition of M.S. and Terri's entire history. Maybe!

The Franciscan monk says that mom & dad are trying so hard to be life affirming and comforting when they are allowed in to be with Terri. Please everyone, pray that Terri isn't aware anymore because it's too horrible to even imagine what terror she must feel when Michael is with her.
Does he say "Don't fight, it won't be long now. ?

Wouldn't it be interesting (and, of course, awful) if autopsy results indicated Terri had been physically attacked years ago, leading to her current brain-damaged condition?

I'm sure the doctors who had to pay a lot of money because the courts found it was their incompetance that resulted in Terri's condition would love to use this evidence.

I wonder why they or their insurance companies have not? It was apparently available before the malpractice trial.

'Twill be very interesting when Terri kicks the bucket and they are subpoenaed by Congress.

Sadly, I don't believe that Congress has the backbone to have any further involvement with the Schiavo case after she dies.

Michael, Greer, Felos, Whittemore, et al, will get away with judicide and thumbing their noses at legislative authority.

An interesting piece of information emerged on the local Orlando radio station I listen to. It seems that Gov. Bush was prepared to send in FL Dept. of Law Enforcement agents to remove Terri and reinsert the feeding tube. The FDLE agents, as a courtesy, gave the local Pinellas Park gendarmes a "heads up" that they would be coming in. The Pinellas Park gendarmes told them not to - that a "standoff" would ensue.

So, in FloriDUH, we have local authorities with more power than state authorities. We have counties unable to enforce code regulations (see Allen Davis case).

How much stupidity IS there in this state?

What is most frightening and saddening to me is that there is a large majority of the American people that either:

- think that people living in Terri's condition have no rights & it is OK to slowly starve & dehydrate them to death (convenience issue).

- or - due to whatever reason, they accept the facts as Judge Greer is ruling on them & don't care to learn all the other facts out there before swallowing such a large pill (complacency issue).

- or they think, as Michael Shiavo says, that Terri would have wanted it this way (see the point above this one - same issue).

Either way, it's a sad day for America, she hangs her head in shame today.

Let Terri's fight to live be a testament to all of those that want her dead. God will deem when Terri comes to him not Man. It is amazing how a woman that wants to die clings so hard to live. It is also amazing for a woman that has been dead for 15 years still has not grasp this concept. I pray for every minute that Terri lives that the conscience of those that want her dead pricks with pain of discomfort.

Matthew 25:44-45

44 Then they also [in their turn] will answer, Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?

45 And He will reply to them, Solemnly I declare to you, in so far as you failed to do it for the least [in the estimation of men] of these, you failed to do it for Me.

Gee, "Iyer is not to be believed because she was fired..."

D'oh. How about the other nurses who are backing up the same story? All have also been fired. Gee.

And all have put their statements as affidavits into the JUDICIAL SYSTEM UNDER OATH. Please tell us which ones are being pursued for perjury?
