Why should those born in Latvia be denied citizenship by birth? Singling out one ethnic group or a series of ethnic groups for "special" discrimination is ok by you? Lets just stop splitting hair and see where you stand. Should Irish born in London be required to pass test to gain citizenship?
False comparison. They speak English and moved here voluntarily. Thus they are partaking and adding to the culture, not setting up a separate enclave within the country which hitherto was the "ruling elite".
