(((((HUGS))))).
To me, it seems the people have the power to rescue Terri in this case. The people have spoken once in Florida to save her and the Congress of the United States intended to do the same thing. The courts do not have the power to enforce their own laws.
Now they do.
As Catholics, we believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sins....Terri was baptised, I'm sure of it.
I'm not Catholic, but I feel Terri is gonna be okay, too.
same to you... God forgive us all .. for we know not what we do.
good one!
some idiot spokeswoman on CNS radio (a spokeswoman for MS) said: "Now Terri is restored to full human-ness, because she has been allowed a peaceful and dignifed death."
It is very hard for me not to wish that same peaceful and dignified death on her, too.
I would argue, candeee, that it was the hundreds, maybe thousands of people in Terri's situation that kept them at bay ... to do for one, why not do for all?
I would say it was I who kept them at bay ... if my leaders can break the law, so can I.
I would say it was the process of letting the courts work that held them at bay ... that the courts are wrong takes Congress and we the people to reign them in.
In the long run, our President and Governor worked on behalf of ALL the people, by not condoning law-breaking, insurrection, or forcibly taking hold of the judicial system.
Sometimes the better part of wisdom is saving us from ourselves.
Stinks to be so blasted human sometimes, huh?
This is true :)
Oh, I so agree....
They won't do squat- they think they are being criticised now?
AFTER she dies, and then they act- they will get it from BOTH ENDS!
side one- "there you go interfering because you don't like a judge's ruling"
side two-"How dare you act now- too little too late."
I had thought it would be marvelous for the Christian community /Catholic/ and Jewish, to have a national service in her honor. NO, no invitation to Michael, Felos or GREER!!!
Stinks to be so blasted human sometimes, huh?
Not so much... I value life now, more than ever.. and if we do not learn from our mistakes.. we will be destined to make them again.
I have faith in President Bush... because as my tag line says... I pray daily for him. And I believe with all my heart that President Bush, also talks to God daily. He knows we are in a boiling pot of rot.. But if I do not believe in my prayers... than I am not living by faith.
God is the winner... now and till the end.
It is entirely possible that even if Terri had not known the Lord as her Savior before that horrible night she collapsed....He has had substantial opportunity to speak with her lo these many, many years.
Jesus said it is easier for a child to come to Him than those who think themselves pious.
And I have no doubt Terri has had many a long talks with Him, being shut away from all else because Michael wouldn't allow it.
The Holy Spirit is our comforter and teacher; it is my prayer that she indeed knew our Lord.
I don't know about scattering her ashes .. he may very well do that .. but he plans to take her to Pennsylvania.
I think you're right.
