Jeb Bush completely dropped the ball on this one. Screw the politics, and do what you know to be right in your heart and soul. Better to be hated by man in doing the right thing than let yourself be as corrupted as the people wanting Terri dead. This should stay with him all his life. Knowing he could of helped her but didn't. Any chance Jeb Bush ever had of becoming President has vanished. Evangelical conservatives will NOT forget this.

Don't think Jeb hzas the power. May take G.W. or the Attorney General.
If governors can pardon felons though why can't they pardon sick people who want to live?
But better yet, an executive order could be issued.

Jeb Bush would be able to show repentance by being the bully pulpit for constitutional amendments that tighten the restrictions way up on cases like this, so that there are no more Terris. Something like no person shall be deliberately deprived of food and drink or its equivalent except where that would make no difference in their condition or where their desire to do so has been expressed on oath.
