The Schindlers attorney said that Mrs. Schiavo is declining rapidly and a morphine drip has been administered by medical staff at her hospice to help her ease her pain.

She will probably be dead before the night is over depending on the dose..maybe a few hours.
Be careful what you wish for. I expect the discourse to now turn to a "more humane" manner of disposing of the "useless." The courts have now proven their sovereignty in determining who shall die, and I'm sure they'll be happy to oblige those so condemned with a quicker death.
We need laws to protect life itself.

The removal of a nutrition and hydration tube, wrote Judge Lynch of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court,* would likely create some or all of the following effects before death.
The mouth would dry out and become caked or coated with thick material.
The lips would become parched and cracked.
The tongue would swell, and might crack.
The eyes would recede back into their orbits and the cheeks would become hollow.
The lining of the nose might crack and cause the nose to bleed.
The skin would hang loose on the body and become dry and scaly.
The urine would become highly concentrated, leading to burning of the bladder.
The lining of the stomach would dry out and the sufferer would experience dry
heaves and vomiting.
The body temperature would become very high.
The brain cells would dry out, causing convulsions.
The respiratory tract would dry out, and the thick secretions that would
result could plug the lungs and cause death.
At some point within five days to three weeks the major organs, including the
lungs, heart, and brain, would give out and the patient would die.

Felos wants her to die on Easter Sunday. That's why they started the morphine last night.
I can't figure out how they got a vein after 9 days of dehydration. The RN Cheryl Ford wrote last night the morphine was started by nebulizer. That may be the route.
Boy she sure looks happy, can we send a copy to the judge?

What about the Purim treats your 3rd grader has stashed away in her desk? Gotta lift the sofa to get all that popcorn vacuumed up. While you are at it, you might as well throw some Spring cleaning in there - get out the summer clothes and put away the winter blankets and coats...

I fully agree with you, I wasn't suggesting that we should make it easier to kill disabled people.
