It's too late to save Terri now. She has been very close to death for the past 72 hours. On Thursday (Maundy Thursday) she was bleeding from her nose, eyes and mouth and choaking on her own blood. Personally, to me this is reflective of Christ's own sacrifice. I believe that is the message that Terri's parents wanted to leave with use when they asked the Franciscan padre to speak for them.
Terri's will to live has been a lesson for all of us. By the bigger message is hidden in the prayers of the faithful who make their silent vigils each Maundy Thursday.
