you forget we would not have even gotten this far under a clinton administration.

We need to keep pushing and keep pushing in election after reflection. We need to keep winning. Every election we hear the BS whining of uberconservates who toss their votes away to some third party because the republic is not conservative enough. (or the wrong shoes)

It boils down to this. Even the founders knew society would need some work. The founders knew leadership would be changed over time. The founders knew that we as a society would have to engage in the fine art of compromise.

One thing that GWBush has done on the national level is get rid of the BS notion of "entiled" to run because dues were paid. (it is so and so's turn to run for office because they have put in x number of years) The goal is to put in more people that actually win. For now we may have to perservere a Specter or a Snow or even a McCain but they too shall pass from office over time.

We need to think long term. Look at the ABA model divorce code? Why did they make a far left model code which incorporates feminist and leftist ideals? Because they are working on a decades long schedule.

We have to keep fighting the good fight because the left will continue since they have little regard for conservative's ability to focus and perservere.

I bet there are more people who joined FR and then became actually politically active as a result. We now as Rep. Delay has said "she is one of us", well we lost one of us. That does not mean the good fight ends. We lick our wounds and keep fighting.

Congratulations! I agree entirely, it is Terri's legacy that we continue her fight to save others who end up in this quagmire.

In life you do have to look at long term goals. However, you can't ignore the short term or there is no long term.
I fear the republican party will be in sever decline after this inaction. If they are ineffective, (this is certaianly not the first example, just the worst) why vote for them.
