That's not what I thought you meant by a religious advisor. Of course, when I go to church their is a Priest - don't be ridiculous. But I have never had to seek him out on a personal one-on-one basis for advice or counseling. That, in my opinion, is a religious advisor, as opposed to just a parish priest.
If someone in your house was dying I'm sure your priest would stop by.

Went ot Catholic School growing up, my parents went to the same parish. Not sure that the priest even knew our names. The Catholic priests are not like preachers in the Protestant world. There is not a lot of socializing. Only if you are an alter boy and work closely with the priest do you stand a chance of getting close to him. Sometimes a priest would come to your house but only if it was extraordinary circumstances.
