(Attorney)Weller said Terri cried when her mother hugged her Saturday night. "She knows what's going on. She was trying to vocalize something with Mary."
"The governor should know that Terri still knows who her mother is, and she's extremely distressed," Weller said. "She's not a vegetable who doesn't know what is happening."
Paul O'Donnell, a Roman Catholic Franciscan monk, said the family unsuccessfully urged Michael Schiavo to allow his wife the sacrament of communion during the holiest feast of the Catholic year. She received last rites the day the feeding tube was pulled.
"This is in violation of her religious rights and freedoms and allows the governor to ... intervene," O'Donnell said, repeating the family's request that the governor take Schiavo into protective custody. "We beg you to have courage and take action."

MS's greatest triumpth was that he was able to recruit the MSM as useful idiots in his quest to do away with Terri, who was no longer useful to him in malpractice cases. To alienate Terri's parents was also essential, as he would then retain guardianship, and decide how Terri's body was to be disposed, avoiding an autopsy which could reveal organ damage from insulin overdose.
I'll FReepmail MacDorcha.
He set up the Celtic list and he'll know how to go about it....:)
Something tells me that if everyone in the world followed this line of thought to its logical conclusion, and nobly and guiltily stopped eating for as long as Terri Schiavo was off her feeding tube, most of the human race would die off before she herself lost her struggle for life. And then those of us who had known better would be faced with the opportunity to present the mother of all Darwin Awards.
Personally, I'm looking forward to all those Cadbury's chocolate eggs tomorrow. And I'm going to give thanks for the luxury of having them. And I'm going to give thanks for the fact that I, like Terri Schiavo, have a family that loves me and would fight for me no matter what. And I will remember Terri. And I will remind myself that justice will eventually catch up to Michael Schiavo, to his slimebag lawyer, and to any number of smug, self-styled gods in judicial robes that would drape the veneer of legality upon the cold-blooded, cruel and unusual, state-sanctioned murder of the innocent.
And then I'll go on living.

Yeah...but....you're so much FUN! :)
OK. I'm outta here. PLEASE behave everyone. Honestly, please do...on both sides of this issue.
Remember....she's dying. She's being murdered as we sit here merrily typing away. Never lose sight of this.
A Blessed Easter to all.
How bout nice.

A moral failure? I can't think of anyone currently in the state of Florida who has done more to save Terri than Jeb Bush. NO one. I'd say, if anything, he's been the most moral one involved throughout this whole sorry episode.
It's a shame you can't see that, and better direct your energies to something useful - such as pressuring legislators to get rid of the laws that allowed this situation to occur. Maybe looking to find a candidate to run against Greer when he comes up for re-election. There's so much that could be done, instead of sitting around looking for scapegoats...
Just a thought, for what it's worth. :)
Blessed Easter.
No autopsy? How will it ever be known what her actual condition is, and how she got that way?
Denying someone final communion is despicable.
You are correct, I am sorry.
During Clinton's term, democrats illegally obtained copies of the FBI files of several hundred conservative politicans. Those files are believed to contain information that would allow some or many to be be blackmailed.
Jeb's ineffectiveness in wielding his legitimate power to save Terri is hard to explain. But fear of blackmail would make the situation easier to understand.
MS.BEHAVIN,I am going to bed soon and I am sorry if I upset you beautiful.
She isn't dying quickly enough for them. They don't like all the bad publicity.
This makes me ill.
Not anymore. See Pegita's post. They've moved from passive to active euthanasia.
Yeah, I saw that the minute the "judge" made the ruling against her life that they were talking about how to dispose of her body. My God! She's not even dead yet! Poor baby, why can't they at least give her ice chips or even gruel or something, which at least even the freakin' Nazis gave to their prey. It sickens me that our country just lets a disabled woman suffer to a horrible death that even stray animals in shelters don't have to suffer through. Happy Easter! The only thing Terry has left is a miracle, and if it is going to happen, today is the day!
