(Attorney)Weller said Terri cried when her mother hugged her Saturday night. "She knows what's going on. She was trying to vocalize something with Mary."
"The governor should know that Terri still knows who her mother is, and she's extremely distressed," Weller said. "She's not a vegetable who doesn't know what is happening."
Paul O'Donnell, a Roman Catholic Franciscan monk, said the family unsuccessfully urged Michael Schiavo to allow his wife the sacrament of communion during the holiest feast of the Catholic year. She received last rites the day the feeding tube was pulled.
"This is in violation of her religious rights and freedoms and allows the governor to ... intervene," O'Donnell said, repeating the family's request that the governor take Schiavo into protective custody. "We beg you to have courage and take action."

Thanks...you guys are the best detectives around...:)
Would be a nice thought.
Me too, Gramma...
So it has come to this..
Evil gets rewarded, and good goes wanting...
(I wish I could remeber who said that)
My heart hurts...still.
I think it will, for a long time...
Ms.B
"Why? It's absolutely true. Anyone involved in denying Terri food hates the God who created her."
The kind of food that should worry you more is spoken of in Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
We got no shortage of preachers so what food are they missing?
This flesh will die, and then what????? You are sounding like a flesh worshiper.
Our country's heart(s) hurt right now...
Blessed Easter, MS.B...
Wow. How astute you are, being able to see inside Jeb's heart. It's almost as if you were God, or something.
A tad but egotistical and narcissistic, don't ya say?
Please accept my apologies for derailing the thread topic but it was driving me *nuts*.....;)
Obviously you aren't Catholic....
We've gone from "Jeb is her strongest advocate", to "Jeb won't use his power to save her, but he could!", to "Jeb hates God".
Please tell me we've almost come full circle. I can't take much more of this.
In order to be an official martyr you have to die for the Faith. Official recognition of sainthood requires miraculous events after death.
Of course there is no doubt Terri is suffering a martyr's death and will be a saint in heaven with God.
Michael and friends won't be quite so fortunate.
No, we havn't reached the "Jeb is Hitler" stage yet... but it's coming soon, no doubt.
Hubby's a brunette [well, in the sunlight he's the darkest auburn imaginable] and has blue eyes and much whiter skin than I, an Irish.
[actually my skin is gold toned because of my Welsh kin]
Red heads rule....;)
Now you've gone and made me want to go make myself a grilled cheese sandwich, and engage in the sin of gluttoney - because I can - with that hyperbole you're spouting.
and she had some choice words to go with it, LOL.
LOL
I still pray that God provide a miracle of the largest proportions!! I want Terri to wake up and talk so clearly that there isn't any doubt as to the intent of her words. I would love for someone to come forward and prove that MS has been verbally abusing her while he has his visitation...giving grounds for immediate protective custody!
These are my prayers!!
I just love people who punch below the belt "for Jesus". I have wanted Terri Schiavo to survive this all along, but if anyone could make it possible for me not to care, it would be someone like you.
Proud of that?
