These Effin reactionaries never change..., Do they?
Well we see how far your civility and ability at conversation go. Or maybe it's the full moon?
Not for any Governor or President to ignore the laws on the books.
I've got some news for you, statist, the president can pardon death row immates, regardless of what their state said, he can by executive order over turn or post pone this. Did you have no problems with Elan's grab too? After all, it's what the State wanted.
By the way, if your mindset ran deep in 1775, we'd still be a nice colony of mother England. And then there was that whole Civil Rights thingy, boy that went right against those segregation laws, how dare they?
Blah, blah, blah....
Is she dead yet?
You try ignoring a subpoena from Congress and see what happens...
Jeb, Hastert, and Delay have more than enough Law on their side to send in either Federal Marshalls or the Florida National Guard to stop the murder of Terri Shiavo.
The fact that they haven't proves that they are moral cowards who are unfit to govern a hamlet, let alone a sovereign State.
L
ROFLMAO
Starving Terri Schiavo to death is something I never thought our great Country would ever do, but stoopinhg to their level is not the way I want to fix this situation, we need to remain the majority Party and confirm as many Conservative judges we can while we can.
I'm on your side my Friend, It's just the way we go about change is where we differ
Cheers,
Mike
Oh, wait, that's the Liberal playbook...
The democrats thought they were fully justified in snatching Elian and sending him to Cuba.
They thought the assault on the compound in Waco was justified, Ruby Ridge, etc.
All of these things outraged most conservatives.
Seeing so-called religious conservatives justifying and demanding the same type of lawlessness from the Governor of Florida and the President is very unnerving, sickening and sad.
Et tu pro-lifers???
Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya on the way out!
One less radical lawbreaker in the GOP is a good thing!
The kind of party you are looking for is fascist and has leaders that wear jackboots and love to trample the laws and Constitution whenever they see fit!
SEIG HEIL!!!!
This is the typical NeoCon(artist)/RINO line. So as I said, guess you'd have no problems voting for McCaine, after all he does wear a republican badge, regardless of his actions.
No. They passed a law stating that Terri's parents *could* get what amounted to a new trial. It gave discretion to the federal judge to hear the case or not. The federal judge correctly concluded that doing so would be an abuse of the legal system, and refused.
By the way, try staying on topic, wouldn't want to forget that this thread is about the institutionalized MURDER of an innocent, disabled woman.
Thanks for your kind reply to my frustration-fueled sarcasm. I hate getting like that but this murder-in-progress is extremely difficult for me to bear. Do you have a daughter? I have a daughter.
I believe that we agree completely on what needs to be done about the courts and how it must be done, etc., although I am sure that I don't share your reverance for judges or your belief in their infallibility and the need to obey them no matter what.
I just have a different point of view about what must be done from time to time in critical life-and-death situations such as Schiavo's. When a situation means life or death for another human being, there's simply no time to parse words or wax philosophic or flip through law books.
Quick, decisive action was needed by somebody with the guts to act. Unfortunately, "somebody" just shrugged his shoulders, held his palms up, and said there was nothing he could do because his masters, the judges, told him so. That's what bugs me.
Regards,
LH
Yeah, and at Nurenburg they all said they were just following orders, when murdering the defenseless.
Wow. From cordial to troll in mid-sentence.
Yada yada yada, You don't know jack about me, but I know by your own posting history that you are a Pro Putin Communist. So let me send you a Quarter so you call someone who gives a rats ass what you think
Prayers for Terri, her brother and siter and her parents.
Given most Americans are misinformed about the facts of the case (too numerous to list here) as reflected by the skewed polling numbers, the truth must come out for there to be any good backlash.
The question is, will they be more outraged that a hapless invalid is put to death, or that the non-judicial branches of gov't attempted extraordinary measures to save this woman so clearly condemned on such flimsy evidence?
He could at the very least, come out and give a reason for his inability to act. He looks like he's hiding. Maybe he is.
So many different things have been said about what he could or couldn't do. What is the truth?
