We must remember that hospices are set up to assist people in their FINAL days. They specifically are not set up to keep someone alive and stimulated. I bet that the staff there are very resentful of Terri's presence, and all the "burdens" that she, MS, etc have brought into their facility.
I bet any nurse or assistant who felt compassion for the living Terri was reassigned or quit.
I believe that the legal ghouls who wish her dead, are convinced that she is PVS because "anyone with a brain could not have survived the treatment they ordered for her."
Therefore, to them, anyone who brings "evidence" of brain function is lying or imagining it.

I do understand this however once she was removed from the feeding tube she might as well have been placed out in the street.
