I remember hearing about the watts riots when I was young. And when I grew up and never believed such behavior could occur in this day and age. I was in the West end of the valley when the Rodney King riots broke out. I was amazed. They did stop them in the east valley but by that time I took my son who was about a year old and headed up to the Ventura area.

I was truly shocked. And seeing this is shocking also. MCD

Thank Goodness you got your son out.

I know what you mean about the Rodney King riots. They scared me. I was finishing up my Geography degree at UNC-Greensboro in North Carolina at the time and we had a "heightened" campus police presence during that time.

I was absolutely shocked by the sense of entitlement the rioters exhibited. They seemed to think their frustration and disappointment entitled them to destroy, loot, and assault and batter innocent people.
