GWB needs to order a full investigation by the Justice Dept.

I'm not a lawyer, but would it not be possible for the Schindlers to immediately file a wrongful death lawsuit after Terri passes, and insist that her body not be cremated as it might provide evidence?

It doesn't take a lawyer to know how that would play out. Greer enters an order for the body to be cremated and the local SS detachment will do it immediately. Not even the President of the United States could prevent it, just as he was powerless to stop execution of Greer's death warrant.

I have had thoughts along similar lines. An autopsy would might prove very useful. If it showed that her brain wasn't "liquified" as some attending physicians have said, it could be grounds for the "mother of all malpractice" lawsuits. But leaving that aside, if her brain wasn't damaged like so many "physicians" have claimed and judges blindly relied upon their testimony. The effects could be shattering. Some physicians should and would suffer deserved professional damage. I don't think it could be used against Michael Schiavo though, unfortunately. Unless, it could be argued that Michael's failure to allow therapy was abuse. I'm blatthering and need to shut up......

Somebody can correct me but when I was reading the various Florida bills that led up to the one that allows for feeding tubes to be removed they included language that protected the caregivers and others related to the decision and act itself. If that language made it to the final bill, her cause of death will be due to the removal of the feeding tube and I think they will be immune from any charges.

Insist is one thing. Getting your way is another. Ask feckless Jeb.
