Thanks for shining the light of logic, into the abyss of moral indignation. Not sure how many people will actually take the time to think your points through, but the friends I have in medicine have stated have told me the same thing. HIV is a blood-blood transmitted virus. Vaginal intercourse TYPICALLY does not result in a blood to blood transmission, whereas the likelihood is far greater in anal intercourse. Hence, gay men are more prone to get/transmit this disease than hetero-sexual men. Also, women are more prone to becoming infected, than men in normal (non-violent) vaginal intercourse.
As it turned out as Fumento mentioned, in most recorded cases of "female to male" transmission, further interviewing revealed the men were lying.
Female-to-male HIV transmission is usually associated with the presence of ulcerative sexually transmitted infections, such as Syphilis, in the male. It's a fairly common mode of transmission in undeveloped countries.
Even though anal sex, its still unlikely for a man to get it from a woman. He can, however pass it to her that way!
I don't know how much of a chance there is, but how many men would knowingly volunteer to test that theory?
What difference does it make if it's an HIV positive woman's anus or a man's? If a man engages in anal with someone HIV positive chances are he'll get it.
actually, yes there is still risk, but chances are slim.

As I understand it, the virus is transmitted through body fluids. It is usually the man providing the body fluids no matter the orifice. Don't know about saliva but it is normally blood or semen.
And this can be a poster story to enhance recruitment!

I see a large amount of trouble which would have been easily avoided if the simple rule of "Chastity before marriage and fideltiy in marriage" was a cultural standard.
Of course, there always have been and always will be some who would break the standards. But when the standard of moral sexual behavior is tossed in the garbage, instincts take over, and people have nothing to live up to.
Result? Lives ruined, families ruined. Enough lives and families ruined, and society becomes very damaged.

you got it -anal sex! It is all about behavior --homosexual males are the mot prolific carriers and transmitters of the disease because of anal sex AND promiscuity...
The way a man usually gets aids from a woman is through oral sex ( with the man doing the oral part not the woman). With a one night stand that usually doesn't happen. It is far more difficult for a man to get aids from a woman with just vaginal/anal sex then it is for a woman to contract it from a man. Oral sex will do it though, so watch out for that guys!
