Nazis lost the war but won the culture war, in Europe, and maybe here too (though it's had recent setbacks). Germany efficiency, Scandanavian style, and platitudes of compassion, that's the new face of the social engineer.
I remember being taught in school that "We learn about history to learn *from* it." That platitude certainly rings hollow today.
