I think it would be more accurate to say that a subset of Republicans will wash their hands of him. I, for one, will not abandon him over this. He has done more for Terri Schiavo than any other politician, and I will not blame him for the fact that the system failed her.
Whether he did it all or didn't in our eyes. We must remember - he was getting advice from 'you can take her' - you can't take her.
If God abandon me for every time I 'may have' not done all I could...I would be on my own.
He went over and above helping Terri - but did he do "all he could" - I don't know. Either way, I will not abandon him.
